Reporting invasive species is one of the most important components of invasive species management. It is difficult to address a problem unless the composition and distribution of invasive species is understood.

Invasive species that are found early can be treated before they spread, cause further damage, and become more expensive to control.

To report an invasive the CISMA utilizes a free program known

as the Midwest Invasive Species Information Network (MISIN). This is a free tool that allows anyone to report an invasive species and educational tools to teach identification of over 300 invasive species found in the USA.

To learn how to identify and report invasive species we encourage you to create a free account with MISIN and help us with our efforts. There is also a free App available to allow reporting on the go. Select the icon below to checkout the MISIN website.
